SOLOS
Solos is a group for Church members who are single and their friends. And no, this is not a dating service. We get together to go to educational and fun places, including: A guided tour of The Morse Museum showcasing Louis Comfort Tiffany’s jewelry, glass, and his chapel from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition; White Sands Buddhist Temple in Mims, a Buddhist monk explained the temple and Buddhism; Orlando Wetlands, a biologist explained how these 1,650 acres is an advanced water reclamation facility and a place for birds and nature. We also visited Goodrich’s Seafood Restaurant in Oak Hill. We share repair service and handymen we have used. All suggestions and ideas are welcome. We meet monthly, not necessarily the same day or time — whatever works. Events are emailed, texted, placed in the weekly Church bulletins, and sign-up sheets are in the Sanctuary.
